Drywall & Insulation Calculators

Interior finishing starts with the same area — the wall and ceiling surface — used two ways. The Drywall Calculator turns that area into a full take-off: sheets, screws, joint compound and tape for a standard three-coat finish. The Drywall Sheet Calculator is the sheet-count-only version for when you already have the fasteners and mud. The Insulation Calculator converts the area into packages of batts or bags of blown-in, using the coverage figure from your specific product — which depends entirely on the R-value and cavity depth, so it's an input rather than an assumption. Small openings aren't deducted from the drywall area; they become the cut-offs the waste allowance covers. Corner bead, adhesive, primer, vapour retarder and air-sealing are separate.
